We found this lovely company, Plan B Design, by mistake when browsing for a certain kind of armchair on the internet. Plan B Design renovate and upholster old furniture with a special kind of twist as you can see above. Their modern take and original style make these pieces very unique. It was love at first sight for us. We can’t get enough of this style. Plan B Design is a Swedish company from Stockholm. They have a showroom in central Stockholm and you can visit it by appointment. Pick of the week are these beautiful Maya curtains from Artilleriet. You have them in different fabric thickness going from light voile to linen. Both Nina and I would love to have these beautiful curtains at our respective country houses. The thin black stripe is really what makes this product great. So subtle and yet elegant.
The very talented Eva Lamppu
The very talented Eva Lamppu works as a professional painter in Helsinki. She specializes in oil paintings and in tempera and textile collages. She studied art at the Free art School in Helsinki 2011-2016 and has been very productive since the beginning . Eva has had numerous group- and solo exhibitions. She finds inspiration in form , a feeling or both and she paints people, objects, spaces and occasionally landscapes. Her use of textiles as part of her paintings is unique and makes her art much more interesting. The colour schemes in her art are very harmonious and work, in our opinion, in every home. A home is never complete without art. This is something we tend to neglect nowadays. You can find her homepage here.

Classic modernism at its finest
This classic modern apartment building was converted by Oscar Properties into 40 unique units on Nybrogatan 19 in Stockholm and are opening their doors this Wednesday ( december 7th ) for the first viewings. Don’t miss it of you’re in town. I will definitely pop by if there’s a chance during the weekend. This interior makes my heart flutter and skip a beat. Could we see something similar in Helsinki soon, pretty please?!
Anna’s Christmas wishlist
If we for a second focus on just the material part of Christmas wishes, then this would be my ultimate ‘ wishlist’ for this year. If indeed I had an unlimited amount of resources. Never stop dreaming even if it can’t come true. Dreams make you happy from the inside out and pushes you further in your ambition. Happy weekend friends, stay classy !
Overose
There’s a new kid in town, Overose, that make beautiful scented candles and we’re smitten. Overose is a Parisian based perfume house that aim to produce all products as responsibly as possible. You can read more about their environmental responsibility here. Overose is founded by Matthieu Belhandouz who studied fashion design at La Cambre and who also worked briefly for Stella McCartney. The scented candles are quite sold out at the moment but luckily I was able to get my hands on Pinèdre ( pine and cedarwood ). It just so happens to be one of my favorite scents, especially around Christmas. Can’t wait to smell you!
